The owners of two area restaurants are opening a butcher shop next month in Myrtle Beach. The Salty Butcher touts itself as an old-school neighborhood butcher shop that will offer both meats and seafood from the Carolinas. Its grand opening is Oct. 14 at 7901 N. Kings Highway. In addition to meats and seafood, the shop also will offer deli, produce, cheeses, wine, craft beers, marinades and specialty products. And it will have a drive-through where people can place their order ahead of time and then pick it up for lunch or on their way home from work, said co-member Taylor Smith.
