MYRTLE BEACH — Grand Strand cities will fill multiple council seats this November, and the candidate filing period for many of those posts is approaching. Candidates can file to run for seats in Loris and Myrtle Beach starting noon Aug. 24, and in Conway, North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach starting noon Aug. 25. The deadline to file in all municipalities is Sept. 8. All seats are non-partisan, and the terms expire Dec. 31, 2028. Fees may apply to some candidate filings, though not in Myrtle Beach.
