While visiting in Myrtle Beach on July, 23,2017 for a family reunion we decided to the chairs and umbrella. A family that just so happened to be there asked us did we just want their chairs for $10.00 dollars since they rented them for the entire day. We paid them $20.00 for 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas. One of the lifeguards named Kyle stated that we could not sit there it had to be family only. Has we stated to him what was going on he said that it was not allowed and we had to move. As we tried to gather up our belongings Kyle sat in the chairs and told us we had to move now and we all had 2 hands to do so. He spoke and a very rude and unprofessional manner. We told him okay we have a lot of things and as soon as the rest of the family comes we can move everything. He went on the say we our very ignorant and we need to move now. This really made us upset. We asked to speak to a supervisor and his name was Tyler and he stated it was our words against his and he believed everything that Kyle had told him. We all kept our composer and left. I just would like to let management know how their life guards our treating their customers when we our patronizing with their company when on vacation. It really put a damper on our day and upset all of our children that came with us.

We have stayed at the Ocean Reef for over 10 yrs. last yr we didn't make it down. We had 2 different Jason's working in front of the hotel every year we've been here and they were great. This year however, is the exception. The lifeguard/beach rental guy watches while anyone and everyone sits and occupys umbrellas and chairs. Large families take over empty chairs and umbrellas. They are rowdy and play loud music. Why should I pay when others don't. Today 2 lifeguards literally were watching a huge group just take over 3 umbrellas and did nothing!!!!!!
