Hurricane Ian made landfall in Georgetown, South Carolina, at 2:05 p.m. Friday as a category 1 storm. This is the second landfall for the storm. (Watch the latest video forecast above) Here, in the Upstate, we are seeing wind gusts between 30 mph to 50 mph. Rain will get heavier in our area throughout the afternoon and evening and the wind will continue to pick up. It looks to be rough through Friday evening and simmering down between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.Saturday will feature spotty showers and breezy conditions in the low 60s.
